Jan and Michael Muscarella, Franchise Owners

“We decided to open our Seniors Helping Seniors in-home care business after spending several years assisting our own parents in the transition from fully independent seniors to the time when they needed more care,” says Michael.

“Most older adults want to maintain an independent lifestyle, but not all of them have family members close by who can help out when necessary,” says Jan. “Families with seniors still living independently need help handling the concerns of their aging relatives while also managing the needs of their own children and careers in an affordable way.”

Jan and Michael are dedicated to helping our senior population to age-in-place with dignity, compassion and joy. The Muscarellas are using their own experiences as a guide in providing services that enhance the lives of our senior care receivers, while at the same time allowing peace-of-mind for their adult children and loved ones.

About Our Founders

Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care service was co-founded by Kiran and Philip Yocom in order to realize Kiran’s personal mission of providing care for those who can’t care for themselves. Before coming to the United States from India, Kiran worked with Mother Teresa for 14 years.

How We've Grown

From our roots in Pennsylvania, and our first match in 1998, Seniors Helping Seniors® has grown to include hundreds of locations in the US and Internationally. We continue to grow and evolve, adding new services to better assist seniors and refining our caregiver training as new industry best practices come to light.

To keep pace with a rapidly growing senior population, we’re actively seeking Seniors Helping Seniors® franchise partners in open markets.
